The Yay carries the seating like a precious stone, its mounting both delicate and reassuringly solid. Using the same polished metal structure in a slight alteration the family resemble is clear but Yay stays confidently on its own in either single or bench format.

THE DESIGNER
Rüya Akyol was born and lived in Istanbul until she moved to Milan. She studied Design at Istanbul Technical University, Politecnico di Milano, and Domus Academy. She had over five years of experience as a designer and studio director at Claudio Bellini in Milan. She continued her career path in Paris with Philippe Starck. She has collaborated with many prestigious brands including Glass Italia, Kartell, Natuzzi, Vitra. Her style is shaped by the combination of her oriental background and her contemporary design practice. She creates concepts ranging from product to spatial design.
