Founded by Alia Rachid and operating between Doha and Milan, Fromm is a creative platform working to empower young Middle Eastern designers. Offering infrastructure to help them not only develop and manufacture unique design pieces that meet the highest standards, but also a network to access the global market in a meaningful way, Fromm combines heritage with innovation to nurture and mentor the next-generation of regional design talent. With its HQ located in Qatar’s Msheierb District, its showroom-cum-design lab in Milan it is a window to new experiences and cross-cultural collaboration.

At Art of Living 2022, Fromm will present Shurouq, a new range of design pieces envisioned by two Qatari designers Shua’aAli and Maryam Al Suwaidi. Inspired by traditional Qatari architecture, the undulating desertscape and the country’s rich artisanal history, this showcase will offer a fresh perspective on how heritage and culture are informing a contemporary way of life in the Arab nation.
